It’s been over a month since Joan Rivers tragically died on Sept. 4 at the age of 81. On Thursday, autopsy test results revealed that her death was due to a “predictable complication,” which resulted in a lack of oxygen to her brain. The NYC office of Chief Medical Examiner explained in a statement just what went wrong when the comedian was undergoing a laryngoscopy and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
